Eero Aarnio Set of 6 “Ruuto” Birchwood Dining Chairs for Asko, 1990s

Rare set of six dining chairs designed by Finnish designer Eero Aarnio and produced by Asko. Known as the “Ruuto” chair, these feature a distinctive square-grid backrest crafted in solid birch with a warm natural finish. Aarnio’s playful yet functional design language is evident here—sculptural, minimal, and highly architectural.

All six chairs are in excellent vintage condition, with only minor signs of wear consistent with age. The natural birch patina adds warmth and character, making them ideal for both modern and Scandinavian interiors.
